Welcome to the
William Keyser genealogical site.
Here you can find historical information about our Keyser family.

A few decades ago, I discovered that my husband's direct antecedent was a soldier in America's war for independence. That sparked my interest in discovering more about this man, William Keyser, who was part of the fight to transform this colony into an independent nation.

Over time I have been able to accumulate many documents, photos, and stories about William Keyser and his descendants. I wanted to share my discoveries with our Keyser cousins, and make this information widely available.

Within the last 10 years I have worked to gain membership for my husband and my children to a few of the genealogical organizations, and the documents available here were essential in that achievement. Anyone who is interested in genealogical organizations, such as Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) or Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) should check out my page on Organizations.

In the last few years, DNA has become an extremely valuable tool in genealogical research. There are several companies who offer varieties of DNA testing, and I urge all biological Keysers to consider having their DNA tested.
